 FATHER GIVE ME A VOICE

Father, grant me a voice

When all voices are shut

And no one can speak

Grant me a voice

When silence

Out of fear

And personal expediency

Have become the order

Grant me a voice!

Father grant me a voice

To speak and to stand out

When all men want to sit

And keep silent

Out of fear of intimidation

Out of fear of deprivation

Out of fear of incarceration

Father, grant me a voice!

Grant me a voice, father

To speak against

The forced silence of the people

When the hearts and spirits of the people

Are crushed!

Souls caged and

Voice boxes broken

Father, grant me a voice!

Father, grant me a voice

When the voiceless and poor

Are deprived of their livelihood

When they are marginalized

And terrorized

When no one speaks and cares for the poor

Grant me a voice, father!

Father, grant me a voice

To speak to the injustice

To speak to the wickedness

To speak to the marginalization

To speak against the segregation and oppression

To speak against the hypocrisy and apathy

To speak against the lukewarmness and sinfulness

To speak the killing of spirit and life

To speak against the killing and maiming of the future

Grant me a voice!

Father, grant me a voice

To stand on the rooftop

And cry out your warning

To the nations and to their leaders

Father grant me a voice

To keep watch over the your city

And warn your people

Of your impending danger and destruction

To warn the righteous of their compromise and cooperation

To warn the upright of their apathy and silence

A voice to awaken

To awaken the sleeping believers

Of the Almighty’s wrath

Father, grant me a voice!

Father, grant me a voice

A fearless voice

A fearless spirit

A fearless soul

A fearless heart

A voice to speak

A voice to cry out

And a voice to warn

Grant me a voice,

Almighty father!

JE DOIS ME PRÉPARER!

Je dois me préparer!
Préparez acceuillir un ami
Un ami je ne veux pas voir
Un ami qui
On a rien en commun
Un ami parfois méchant
Parfois amiable

Je dois me préparer!
Préparez pour un ami
Un ami que personne
Ne le veux pas acceuillir
Un ami qui n’est jamais,
Jamais bienvenu dans aucune maison

Je dois me préparer!
Preparer pour un ami
Qui n’annonce ni son arrive
Ni sa depart
Un ami est comme l’air
Il est partout
A n’importe où
A n’importe quel moment

Je dois me préparer!
Préparez pour cet ami
Il visitera chacun un jour
Invite ou pas
Il te visitera un jour
Si tu veux ou pas!
Soyez-préparez
Préparez-toujours!
