The storm has passed, the winds have died
And in the stillness, I can hear inside
The echoes of pain that once did reside
In my heart, and in my mind
But in this moment of restoration
I feel a glimmer of hope and elation
That though the pain may leave its mark
It does not have to leave a permanent scar
For in the aftermath of the storm
I find strength to face what's to come
With a newfound sense of purpose and form
And a heart that's been restored, never to succumb
So let the winds blow, and let the rain fall
For I know that after it all
There's a restoration, a healing balm
That will mend my heart, and bring me calm.
